Guide How to Choose the Right Watch?

Whether you are a man or a woman , the watch is a fashion accessory that is both practical and trendy , often considered to reveal the personality of its wearer. This is why your watch is no longer content to tell you the time ... Today, we see it as a real jewel capable of perfecting any look . Buying a new watch is therefore not a trivial choice, all the more so for men, because it is often their only jewel. Between the hands , the mechanism , the dial , the bracelet ... It is not always easy to decide! So, how do you find THE male or female model who will know how to highlight you while being in adequacy with your style and your character ? Here are some tips and criteria to take into account to choose the right watch .

WHICH WATCH TO CHOOSE?
There are two types of watches: mechanical watches (automatic or manual) and quartz watches. Both have their specific characteristics. They are distinguished by their mechanism of course, but also by their style and their price. So how does each model work and what makes them different? We explain all this to you!

THE MECHANICAL WATCH
Particularly appreciated by lovers of luxury watches, mechanical watches cross the centuries and are still very popular !

In terms of its operation, the mechanical watch, unlike the quartz watch, does not need a battery to operate. It can be recharged simply with the movements of the wrist when worn. We then speak of a mechanical watch with automatic winding , that is to say without the need for intervention by its wearer! The watch winding mechanism is based solely on its movements which turn a rotor which in turn arms the watch spring. But there are also mechanical watches with manual winding which require the crown to be turned manually on a daily basis. It is the oldest mechanism!

In terms of its aesthetics now, you will no doubt have noticed that the mechanical watch is often equipped with a transparent dial which reveals the entire internal mechanism of the watch. This is what makes its charm! The fluidity of the seconds flow is also a very specific characteristic of this elegant watch model: the hand does not jump from one second to the next but continues its movement continuously around the dial . But be careful, choosing the right watch is all the more important with these models, because this very complex mechanism has a price! It costs much more than quartz watches. Mechanical watches are also more fragile and sensitive to shocks. You will therefore have to take great care of it so that your precious purchase lasts over time.

THE QUARTZ WATCH
More precise than the mechanical watch, the quartz watch is also less fragile. It is also the most common mechanism ! This model costs much less and it is very easy to use with its battery system . As for maintenance, you will only have to remember to change the battery about once a year. Historically, it is much more recent since the first quartz watch was not marketed until 1969 when the mechanical system dates from the 15th century. This type of watch works thanks to an electronic movement provided by a quartz crystal which vibrates continuously thanks to the electrical impulse provided by the battery.

Choosing between a mechanical watch and a Quartz watch therefore depends first of all on your budget, but also on your expectations. Do you want a vintage and authentic watch with a mechanism that comes to life thanks to your movements? Then the mechanical watch is for you, provided you have the budget. Would you rather like a precise, low-maintenance watch ? A model that is also modern and that does not cost you an arm and a leg? So go for a quartz watch!
